Memphis Wordsmith Lukah and Iconic Producer Statik Selektah Unite for Powerful New Album A Lost Language Found Out Now via Perfect Time Music Group

Available now on all digital music platforms, A Lost Language Found is the new full-length collaborative album from South Memphis emcee Lukah and East Coast production legend Statik Selektah. Released via Perfect Time Music Group, the project pairs sharp lyricism with soulful, sample-driven beats to explore identity, language, and the Southern Black experience.

Produced entirely by Statik Selektah, A Lost Language Found is a conceptually rich, sonically cohesive work that dives into the untold narratives of Memphis. The album centers on seven metaphorical “languages”—cultural codes, expressions, and ways of being that have been marginalized or erased over time. Through this framework, Lukah reclaims and reinterprets Southern storytelling in modern hip-hop.

The project features standout guest appearances from Killer Mike, Jay Worthy, 8Ball, Bun B, Termanology, and more—each bringing their own voice to a record that bridges regional traditions and generational influence.

Lukah’s previous albums, including When the Black Hand Touches You and Why Look Up, God’s in the Mirror, earned acclaim for their introspective, unflinching takes on trauma, self-actualization, and systemic struggle.
