Wadena “Denagirl” Hits #38 On iTunes R&B/Soul With “Smoke-n-Chill” As “Wadena vs. Wadena: Back Outside” Builds Major Post-Release Momentum

“SMOKE-N-CHILL” CLIMBS TO #38 ON iTUNES R&B/SOUL FOLLOWING THE EP RELEASE, WHILE WADENA’S UNRELEASED “GLAD I’M OVER YOU” FEATURING TURNER WITH HOOD LOVE CONTINUES ITS IMPRESSIVE RUN ON THE UPCOMING 100 MUSIC CHARTS

LONG ISLAND, NY — October 2026 — Independent recording artist, songwriter, and vocalist Wadena “Denagirl” is celebrating a powerful new chapter following the release of her latest project, Wadena vs. Wadena: Back Outside, released August 28, 2026.

The post-release momentum is already making noise. Following the release of the EP, Wadena’s “Smoke-N-Chill” climbed to #38 on the iTunes R&B/Soul chart, adding another major milestone to the record’s growing story.

At the same time, Wadena continues to make an impact on the Upcoming 100 Music Charts with “Glad I’m Over You,” an unreleased track featuring Turner with Hood Love. The record has spent 56 weeks on the Upcoming 100 Music Charts, reaching as high as #7 and currently sitting around #32.

The EP itself has surpassed 24,000 Spotify streams, while Wadena’s catalog continues to gain traction with listeners discovering the versatility, energy, and story behind her music.

One of the project’s standout records, “Smoke-N-Chill,” a Wadena collaboration with her sister LT and Grammy Award-winning, legendary hip-hop producer Zaytoven, has surpassed 150,000 streams across multiple platforms and continues to build momentum.

“Smoke-N-Chill” has also remained on the Upcoming 100 Music Charts for more than 52 weeks, reaching as high as #3, further demonstrating the record’s staying power.

Another major collaboration, “Bum Busta,” produced by Grammy Award-winning, legendary hip-hop producer Zaytoven, continues to build momentum as well. Originally released February 14, 2026, the record has surpassed 100,000 streams across multiple platforms and has now passed 19,000 Spotify streams following the EP release.

Wadena’s catalog continues to demonstrate that her music cannot be placed into one box. Moving between Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Melodic Rap, and Club Music, she continues to show a willingness to experiment while maintaining her own recognizable sound and personality.

A COMEBACK BUILT THROUGH ADVERSITY

Behind the numbers is a story that goes far beyond music.

Wadena’s return to recording followed a traumatic brain injury that forced her to fight to regain portions of her long-term and short-term memory, as well as the ability to fully express herself through speech, movement, music, and performance.

Her return to the professional recording environment became a personal milestone.

Traveling from New York to Atlanta, Wadena stepped back into the studio and began creating again — including working with Zaytoven and his team. What she did not initially realize was just how significant that moment would become.

Then came even more personal challenges.

Wadena experienced the loss of her father on Mother’s Day, while her elderly mother has also faced serious medical emergencies and hospitalizations. At the very moment Wadena was attempting to maximize the promotional campaign surrounding her EP, family circumstances required her attention.

Yet the music continued to move.

Fans continued to stream.

Media continued to show love.

And the industry continued to take notice.

WHEN THE MUSIC SPEAKS LOUDER

Wadena says the response has reminded her why she never stopped writing and creating.

She has also described facing what she believes were inappropriate law-enforcement inquiries surrounding her music and travel, including scrutiny of the lyrics to “Smoke-N-Chill.” Wadena maintains that the song is music and creative expression, not an endorsement of drug activity, and says the experience only strengthened her determination to continue creating.

Rather than allowing adversity to define the story, Wadena is choosing to let the music define what comes next.

A MESSAGE TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

Following the release of Wadena vs. Wadena: Back Outside, Wadena says she has received attention and outreach from major-label representatives, A&Rs, artists, celebrities, producers, and industry teams.

She wants to thank everyone who has reached out, listened, shared her music, offered guidance, or expressed interest in working together.

And her message is simple:

The door is open.

Wadena is looking for serious creative relationships, strategic marketing opportunities, playlist support, media opportunities, additional production, collaborations, and the right industry partnerships to help take her music to an even larger audience.

«“This isn’t about beef. It’s about love. Love conquers more than hate ever will. I want to continue creating, writing, singing, recording, and giving people music.”»

Wadena says she has always been writing and singing with the future in mind — and she believes she has an entire catalog waiting to be heard.

She describes herself as being “hungry like a little kid in elementary school” when it comes to sharing her music, connecting with audiences, getting back into the studio, and creating the next chapter of her career.

She also hopes to return to the studio with Zaytoven and continue building on the creative chemistry that helped fuel this latest chapter.

THE STORY ISN’T OVER — IT’S JUST BEGINNING

For Wadena, Wadena vs. Wadena: Back Outside represents much more than an EP.

It represents survival.

Creativity.

Resilience.

Growth.

And the decision to keep going.

With more than 24,000 Spotify streams for the EP, more than 150,000 streams for “Smoke-N-Chill,” a #38 iTunes R&B/Soul chart placement for “Smoke-N-Chill” following the EP release, and continued Upcoming 100 Music Chart momentum for “Glad I’m Over You” featuring Turner with Hood Love, Wadena believes this is only the beginning.

“Wadena vs. Wadena: Back Outside” is not the end of the comeback. It’s the beginning of what’s next.
